Virat Kohli and bowlers star in India win over Pakistan in Super Eights


India broke the three year old not able to win a single game in the Super eights stage of Twenty20 World Cup. India beat Pakistan by eight wickets and stay alive in the ICC World Twenty20 2012. Pakistan was bowled out for 128 runs.

In the chasing the target of 129 runs, India lose the Gautam Gambhir wicket in first overs. Then Virender Sehwag and Virat Kohli buid up the innings. Virat Kohli top scorer for India with unbeaten 78 off 61 balls with eight fours and 2 sixes. Virender Sehwag made 29 runs from 24 balls and Yuvraj Sing scored 19 runs. India reached their target 129 in 17 overs.

Earlier, Pakistan start the innings very quickly and get some runs but it not go for long time. Pakistan wickets are falling in a regular intervals. Shoaib Malik top scorer for Pakistan with 28 runs. L Balaji take 3 wickets for 22 runs and Yuvraj and R Ashwin got two wickets each. Finally Pakistan all out for 128 runs in 19.4 overs.
