Virat Kohli and bowlers star in India win over Pakistan in Super Eights

India broke the three year old not able to win a single game in the Super eights stage of Twenty20 World Cup. India beat Pakistan by eight wickets and stay alive in the ICC World Twenty20 2012. Pakistan was bowled out for 128 runs.

In the chasing the target of 129 runs, India lose the Gautam Gambhir wicket in first overs. Then Virender Sehwag and Virat Kohli buid up the innings. Virat Kohli top scorer for India with unbeaten 78 off 61 balls with eight fours and 2 sixes. Virender Sehwag made 29 runs from 24 balls and Yuvraj Sing scored 19 runs. India reached their target 129 in 17 overs.

Earlier, Pakistan start the innings very quickly and get some runs but it not go for long time. Pakistan wickets are falling in a regular intervals. Shoaib Malik top scorer for Pakistan with 28 runs. L Balaji take 3 wickets for 22 runs and Yuvraj and R Ashwin got two wickets each. Finally Pakistan all out for 128 runs in 19.4 overs.

Dhoni says the best XI will play in Super Eights

Now we have a problem with the spinners doing well against England. We got difficult decisions to make. Not forget the players who missed that match. they have won a lot of games for India for their own. It will be difficult decision but we will play with best eleve in the Super Eights. 

It was a difficult decision, we request our senior players to opt rest during the match against England . All of them co-operated and said to me go ahead.

Harbhajan and Piyush Chawla play realy well against England.Rohit Sharma is talented player it is important if guys are responding to give them a few extra games.

Harbhajan Singh 4-12 and Half century from Rohit Sharma helped to India beat defending Champions England by 90 runs on Sunday.

Stuart Broad won the toss and decided to field first. India have some changes in its side Virender Sehwag, R Ashwin,and Zaheer Khan missed todays game Harbhajan Singh, Ashok Dinda and Piyush Chawla got place in playing 11. Irfan Pathan open the innings with Gautam Gambhir . India made a good start but it is not take longer s finn got Irfan Pathan wicket.

Virat Kohli came into bat. he started agressively and scored 40 off 32 balls with 6 fours. Gautam Gambhir made 45 runs from 38 balls and Rohit Sharma on unbeaten 55 with five fours and a six. Finaly India post 170 for 4 in 20 overs.

While chasing the target 171 England lose two wickets very early but Kieswetter hitting sixes at one end. Then Skipper MS Dhoni introduced his spinn attack. England wickets are falling down very cheaply one stage England were 60-9. Harbhajan Singh got 4 wickets and concided just 12 runs. Chawla and Irfan pathan take two wickets each. England were bowled out for 80 runs in 14.4 overs. This is the England lowest T20 Total.

India beat Sri Lanka by 26 runs in a warm-up game

A 78 run recovery stand and belligerent finish from MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma paved the way for India's 26 run win over Sri Lanka in a warm up match ahead for the ICC World Twenty20 2012.

Sri Lanka's seamers reduced India to 51 for 4 after 8.3 overs, with Gautam Gambhir having retired hurt, but Dhoni and Rohit first steadied the innings, before reaping 62 runs from the last four wayward overs to reach 146 for 5.
